Week 1: Provo MTC

Hey everyone!!!
I can't tell you enough how happy I am it's P-day!
It's been a crazy week and I've learned a ton! The MTC is pretty
great, and the food isn't too bad! But exercise time is the best! Me
and my comp have been able to teach 3 role play investigators so far.
2 of them we taught for the first time yesterday.
One of them was a
lady who was in her 70's and her daughters are members. One of them
died during child birth, and she had promised her that she'd give the
church a chance so she talked to us! The spirit was so strong and it
being only our 3rd lesson we had notes ready to use but didn't look at
them once! The spirit taught the lesson completely! I don't even
remember what we said it was so powerful!! At the end of the lesson we
asked her to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know what it and we
say is true. At that point she said " I will read it and I will pray.
However, I already know what you say is true by the way I feel!" It
was such an amazing experience! I know it was all just role play but
it was amazing!!!
Some scriptures that I love right now and encourage
you to read are 3Nephi 5:13 and D&C 109:22! I'd also like to encourage
all of you to read your Book of Mormon every day!! And to be sincere
in your prayers to our loving Heavenly Father!
I love you all and
hope you're doing well!!

Some fun facts I've learn while being here:
  • Last year 240,000 people were converted by missionaries! In 4 years
           that's ONE MILLION people!!!!
  • There are over 2,694 missionaries here in the MTC, serving in over 250 mission
speaking over 50 languages in over 80 countries!

  • We will serve 18 million hours before we go home! That's just if we
           serve a 10 hour day!

Week 5: A Man on the Porch

Hello Everyone! This week was pretty lax! just the normal contacting and handing out copies of the Book of Mormon.  We had a trainer- trainee meeting with the president and I got to see all my MTC buddies!! That was really cool!! As for my week its been pretty normal! There was one guy I'd given a card to before that we saw on his porch.  We went up to him and talked to him and he was very interested.  We talked for about 15 minutes, gave him a Book of Mormon and asked him to read the intro, and then started to walk away.  I felt prompted to go back and ask to bring up Mormon.org on his phone (he was watching Netflix when we walked up)  He let me pull it up and I explained what is was about and asked him to look through it and watch some of the videos.  2 days later we were in the same neighborhood and saw him on his porch again.  We decided to go up to him and as we got closer we saw he was reading something or on his phone again.  As we got ...

Week 10: Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween,  This week was insane!! Good and bad!! We had 2 amazing days in a row.  We decided to make a goal to find someone or get a referral for each one of us this week.  We prayed and asked for help finding 3 people we could get in with and baptize this transfer.  That day we came in contact with at least 5 solid people. One we gave to the sisters and she is doing awesome! The others we are getting in with today and at our trunk or treat. Some members invited their neighbors and we gave them a church tour.  They are now wanting to learn more and THEY asked us how long it takes until they can get baptized! We have gotten at least 1 referral a day! God really blesses you when you turn to him and ask for help.  Now onto the bad(ish) part of my week.  On Friday I was emergency exchanged to Clarksville. The elders there weren't doing well with each other and the assistants had to go and keep the peace until we could get there.  They called ...

Week 3: Maryland Bound

Hi everyone!!   I won't be able to write much this week.  We aren't having an official Pday since we are leaving  tomorrow .   4 elders from our district left  this morning. That was kinda sad. You create a strong bond with one  purpose and grow so close within days and then after a couple weeks we  have to all separate. It sucks!  This week has been really good  though!! I still kinda have a cold, but it is getting better. I  also don't really want to leave the MTC! I am so excited to get to  Maryland though!!!!    We did floral  Friday  with our ties  and We did a tie signing  with one of our teachers!!! That was cool and I got his tie because he  liked mine and wanted to trade!!  I got a haircut  on Saturday .  That was the most violent and fastest haircut I've ever gotten!!! I just want to share that I know this gospel is true and that Christ is our Savior ...
